James A. Croft

James A. Croft was active in his youth in 4-H, participating in poultry and public speaking projects. Croft served on the Baker County Advisory Committee for 16 years, and served as a judge for district and state 4-H events.
As assistant director at New River Solid Waste Facility he was extremely instrumental in obtaining thousands of dollars in grant funds for day camps in Baker, Bradford and Union counties.
He is a much sought after guest and motivational speaker for 4-H events and said he considers 4-H to be a premier organization. “My experience in 4-H gave me the confidence to pursue my goals and gave me the skills to be a success at whatever I set my mind to do,” Croft said.
During his professional career he was a radio announcer and disk jockey. He served as a Baker County Commissioner and currently he is the executive coordinator of Keep Tri-counties Beautiful, Inc. Croft boosts the morale of 4-H agents and volunteers with his enthusiasm and love of 4-H.
