Judy A. Keller
Judy A. Keller began as a 4-H youth in rural Ohio participating in canning, sewing and photography projects. She also held offices in her club and at the county level.
After college she worked as Communications Director of the largest grain cooperative on the St. Lawrence Seaway and later as an on-air radio and TV personality for the Agri-Broadcasting Network where she often talked about 4-H.
Since 1987 her involvement has been directed toward local 4-H fund-raising. She is also producing and televising 4-H public service announcements to 250,000 local cable subscribers.
Keller is well known throughout Collier County and her support of 4-H has been invaluable. "4-H had a huge impact on my life. It was the highlight of my youth and very important in our community. I married a fellow 4-Her and we've been very happy all these years! 4-H gave me a work ethic, a place to learn and practice skills, and a place to succeed. I credit much of my success to 4-H," Keller said.
Keller served on the annual 4-H Farm/City Barbeque committee for 12 years and her expertise in marketing has helped the event grow into one of the largest attended activities in Collier County.
When she assumed the role of collier County 4-H Foundation Board president she presided over a planning session where the mission, fund raising priorities, database management and marketing concepts were planned for the next two years. Her help is invaluable to 4-H.
