Communication Arts Project

In the 4-H Communication Arts projects, you will learn:

• how to successfully prepare for and give public presentations;
• how to improve your interpersonal communication skills in writing, speaking and listening;
• how to use creative ways to communicate your ideas and information; and
• skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, self-responsibility, planning and organizing.

Level 1 - Juniors (Ages 8-10)

• Picking Up the Pieces discover how to put together a communication puzzle through nonverbal, verbal, and written activities that stretch and strengthen personal communication skills. Available through National 4-H Council.  
  

Level 2 - Intermediates (Ages 11-13)

• Putting It Together will explore using oral reasons, planning and presenting speeches while gaining confidence in communicating in a variety of situations. Available through National 4-H Council.  

Level 3 - Seniors (Ages 14-18)

• The Perfect Fit allows youth to enrich and polish their communication skills, develop resumes and cover letters and explore careers in communications. Available through National 4-H Council.  

Leader/Helper Guide

This Helper's Guide will help you support youth in his or her efforts to set goals and complete activities, as well as providing resources for the member's to use in completing the series. Available through National 4-H Council.
