Cultural Arts Project

In the 4-H Cultural Arts project, you will learn:

• how to successfully prepare for and give public presentations;
• how to use creative ways to communicate your ideas and information;
• how to display a stronger self-image and feelings of safety when trying new things; and
• skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, self-responsibility, planning and organizing.

CULTURAL ARTS (For Youth Ages 5-13)

This project guide will help you discover the Latino culture and their traditional art forms through instrument making, jewelry making, weaving, muraling and mask making. You will experience the celebrations that surround the holidays in the Latino culture and enjoy activities such as, storytelling, mosaics and yarn art.

Cloverbuds (Ages 5-7)

• Latino Cultural Arts is a leader-directed project guide that allows youth to discover the Latino culture and develop an understanding of the Latino people and their traditional art forms through the experience of instrument making, jewelry making, waving, muraling and mask making. Available through National 4-H Council.

Level 1 - Juniors (Ages 8-10)

Level 2 - Intermediates (Ages 11-13)

Level 3 - Seniors (Ages 14-18)

• There is no project guide for this level.
