General Nutrition Projects
In the 4-H General Nutrition projects, you will learn:
- how to use knowledge, skills, and better practices relating to personal health and safety;
- how to increase positive activities that promote physical health and well-being; and
- skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, planning and organizing, and responsibility.

NUTRITION BASICS - Munchy Adventures
(For Youth Ages 8-10)
- Munchy Adventures Youth Book helps youth become familiar with the basic food groups while they learn the skills to make good food choices, prepare nutritious snacks, and be physically active.
- Munchy Adventures Leader's Guide focuses on general dietary guidance where youth become familiar with the basic food groups while supporting youth in developing the skills for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
NUTRITION AND FOLATE
(For Youth Ages 11-18)
This project series will help you learn about good nutrition and how to make smart, healthy food choices. Through these projects you will learn about the roles of different nutrients in the body, food sources of these nutrients and how to make healthy food choices. In particular, you will learn about the vitamin folic acid.
