Robotics Project

In the 4-H Robotics projects, you will learn:

  • how to develop marketable and productive skills for work and
    family life in science and technology;
  • how to effectively communicate with others; and
  • skills such as decision-making, getting along with others, planning and organizing, and responsibility.

Project Materials - ROBOTICS
(For Youth Ages 11-18)

This series will engage you in all things robotic. Through it you will learn about many interesting robotic developments, the
different components of robotics, as well as how to appreciate a robots construction.

Member and Leader Manuals (Ages 11-18)
RO 1            Robotics EXPLORER
RO 2            Robotics PROBE
RO H           Helper's Guide

ROBOTICS - Level 1 (Ages 8-10)

  • There is no project guide for this level.

ROBOTICS - Level 2 (Ages 11-13)

  • Robotics EXPLORER teaches 4-Hers programming concepts using the RoboLab language. Youth learn what a robot is, how to build one and how to use sensors to interact with its environment. Available through National 4-H Council.

ROBOTICS - Level 3 (Ages 14-18)

  • Robotics PROBE teaches 4-Hers more advanced topics in both programming and mechanics. Youth advance their programming techniques, use subroutines and variables to achieve more precise movements of their robots and build their own custom functions. Available through National 4-H Council.

Leader/Helper Guide

This Helper's Guide will help you support youth in his or her efforts to set goals and complete activities, as well as providing resources for the member's to use in completing the series. Available through National 4-H Council.
